Let’s discuss price-related issues concerning composite wood flooring.

When selecting wood-plastic flooring or wood-plastic fencing products—or, more broadly, when choosing a wood-plastic manufacturer—the key factors are as follows: 1. Price; 2. Product quality; 3. Variety of profile options; 4. Whether the manufacturer offers post-sale product improvements; and 5. Logistics and after-sales service. As these points demonstrate, price is the most significant factor influencing customers’ choices of wood-plastic products; therefore, today we will focus on the topic of wood-plastic pricing.
There is an overwhelming variety of wood-plastic composite profiles available on the market. Although this is a relatively new material—having been developed only in the past decade or so—it is now ubiquitous across nearly every province and municipality in China, with wood-plastic products visible in virtually every region. Manufacturers and distributors can be found nationwide. Yet despite the fact that they are all wood-plastic profiles, pricing varies significantly from one manufacturer to another and even from one distributor to another. So what factors influence the quoted prices for wood-plastic products?
First and foremost is the issue of raw materials, which directly affects the quality of wood-plastic composites. Different manufacturers produce wood-plastic products with varying quality and at different price points. Although all such products are made by processing wood flour and plastic together, a small proportion of additives plays a decisive role in determining overall quality. These additives—such as UV absorbers, lubricants, and antioxidants—are relatively expensive; their presence or absence is not discernible from the appearance of the finished product. However, after installation and exposure to two seasons of alternating hot and cold temperatures as well as rain and snow, lower-quality products that lack these additives will exhibit severe cracking and warping.
Secondly, production costs vary from region to region—just as price levels differ across regions. Factors such as factory location and the wage levels of factory workers also directly influence the price range of wood-plastic products.
Finally, this depends on the quantity of materials you purchase—this is true for all products. The smaller your order, the greater the price difference compared with larger orders. For example, the price of 10 square meters of wood-plastic flooring will inevitably be much higher than that of 1,000 square meters, especially when you source directly from the manufacturer. I’m sure everyone can understand this.
